Go Nats! #baseball #Nats

This is not a sports blog, but I can’t help but publish this post.

Way to go, Bryce Harper and Max Scherzer! Both have been selected to represent my Washington Nationals in the All-Star game next Tuesday. As you probably heard, Harper broke the National League record for votes received (almost 14,000,000), but he has declined to participate in the home run derby (this link includes a video, so turn down your speakers if you’re at work). 🙂

#Lebron Takes Control #nba

While the argument is subjective, this article points out that no superstar has made it to the NBA’s promised land with such a poor supporting cast. Of course, it isn’t over yet. The Warriors were the best team in the NBA this season and have two more home games on the schedule. Regardless, basketball is supposed to be a team sport, so if Lebron does it “by himself,” is he the greatest ever? If not, can we at least say that his accomplishment will be the greatest ever? We should all emulate Lebron’s attempt at greatness in our respective fields.
